Race Support ("we", "us") provides a mobile application and this website for the UK ski racing community. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. If you do not agree, please do not use the app or site.
Who we are
The Race Support app is operated by the publisher identified in the App Store and Google Play listings. For privacy enquiries: hello@racesupport.app.
Information we collect
Using the app without an account
You can browse much of the race calendar and public content without signing in. Our servers receive routine technical data needed to deliver the service (for example your device asking for race data over the internet). We do not require your name or email for this.
Account and profile
If you create an account, we process the information you provide (such as email address and display name) and authentication data managed by our service provider. If you sign in with Apple or Google, those providers share account identifiers according to their own policies.
Features that need an account
When you are signed in, we store information needed for features you use, such as races you save, racers you follow, and optional notes you add (for example entry or accommodation reminders). Push notification tokens may be stored if you opt in to alerts, so we can deliver notifications to your device.
This website
The racesupport.app homepage may display upcoming races using read-only access to public schedule data. We do not use this page to collect a separate marketing profile from visitors.
How we use information
- To provide, maintain and improve the app and website.
- To authenticate you and sync your saved preferences across devices when you use an account.
- To send push notifications only if you enable them.
- To respond to support requests and protect the security and integrity of our services.
Third-party services and links
We use infrastructure providers (including database and authentication services) to host app data. They process information only on our instructions and under appropriate agreements.
The app links to third-party websites and services that we do not control, including official race information on GBSki, timing or results providers, mapping or geocoding services, and accommodation booking partners. Opening those links may take you to sites with their own privacy practices and cookies. We are not responsible for those sites.
Retention and deletion
We keep account and app data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account or personal data by contacting us at the email above; we will respond in line with applicable law.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of your personal data, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@racesupport.app. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Children
The app is intended for families and participants in youth ski racing. If you believe we have collected personal data from a child without appropriate consent under applicable law, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
International transfers
Our service providers may process data in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, the United States or other countries where they operate. We rely on appropriate safeguards where required by law (such as standard contractual clauses).
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app or site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
